# SmartMed verwelkomt Jack Geraats

Jack heeft een universitaire informatica achtergrond en heeft binnen Philips Healthcare verschillende functies bekleed. Hij is begonnen in het gebied van medisch diagnostische werkstations (radiologie en cardiologie) en heeft vervolgens gewerkt aan een platform voor hergebruik van softwarecomponenten binnen Philips. Jack heeft de laatste jaren leidinggegeven aan een multidisciplinair development team dat zorgdraagt voor productontwikkeling op het gebied van minimaal invasieve behandeling van kanker.

Binnen SmartMed is Jack als Product Director Patient Solutions verantwoordelijk voor innovatie rondom de patiënt oplossingen.

De focus van deze oplossingen zal liggen op de volgende punten:

- Overal en altijd inzicht in persoonlijke medicatiegegevens.
- Simpele en veilige communicatie met zorgprofessionals.
- Actieve participatie van patiënten rondom het managen van de eigen gezondheid richting preventieve geneeskunde.
- Het borgen van closed-loop medicatie management door middel van wearables of andere (medische) slimme apparaten.
- Het aanbieden van patiënt specifieke oplossingen zodat personalisatie en voorspellende geneeskunde vormgegeven kan worden.
