Daarnaast werd de audit voor NEN 7510 positief afgesloten.**   Afgelopen jaar werd opnieuw duidelijk hoe belangrijk deze certificaten zijn voor SmartMeds veilige en kwalitatief hoogstaande medicatiemanagement systeem. Naast de livegang bij enkele [ziekenhuizen](https://www.smartmed.world/nieuws-posts-medicatiemanagementoplossingvansmartmedliveinbernhoven.php) en de overname van [CareSoft](https://www.smartmed.world/nieuws-posts-smartmedneemtapotheeksoftwareleveranciercaresoftover.php) ontwikkelen de SmartMed applicaties zich tot ketenoplossingen, waarbij de uitwisseling van medicatiegegevens een steeds prominentere plaats in de zorgketen inneemt.   ### **Wat betekent de ISO 27001 en NEN 7510 certificering voor SmartMed?** Alfred Godeke, oprichter en CEO van SmartMed, legt dit uit: "SmartMed begeeft zich in het medicatiedomein. Dit houdt in dat het bedrijf medicatiesoftware ontwikkelt voor zowel ziekenhuizen, apotheken, zorginstellingen en de patiënt. Dataoverdracht tussen zorgverleners en patiënten dient op een zorgvuldige, veilige manier plaats te vinden, volgens de standaarden die daarvoor zijn ontwikkeld." De beste toetsing voor SmartMed om aan te tonen dat zij dit op een veilige manier oganiseren is het jaarlijks certificeren voor ISO 27001 en NEN 7510. Het NEN 7510 certificaat wordt voor leveranciers in de zorgketen steeds vaker als randvoorwaarde gesteld. Dit garandeert veilige opslag en distributie van patiëntgevoelige gegevens. ### **Waarom certificering?** Informatiebeveiliging wordt in Europa steeds belangrijker, vooral op het gebied van informatiebeheer in de zorg. Hiermee neemt ook het belang van de internationaal erkende norm voor informatiebeveiliging steeds meer toe. "De audit is zeer positief en constructief verlopen. SmartMed is gekwalificeerd met de maximale mate van controle. Ondanks het ontbreken van relevante verbeterpunten gaat SmartMed door op de ingeslagen weg om security op alle vlakken in de organisatie prioriteit te geven", zegt Ywe te Kate, Security Manager bij SmartMed. SmartMed maakt gebruik van Security by Design technieken, waardoor informatiebeveiliging een integraal onderdeel van de software is. Dit is één van de uitgangspunten van ISO 27001 waar tijdens de audit veel aandacht aan werd besteed. ### **SmartMed biedt veilige medicatiebewaking** Bij SmartMed is de goed beveiligde medicatiebewaking vanuit het perspectief van de patiënt in goede handen. Waar de patiënt zich ook bevindt in de 'zorgketen', de SmartMed medicatie managementapplicatie beschikt altijd direct over het AMO (Actuele Medicatie Overzicht) van de patiënt. Omdat SmartMed multimediaal ontwikkeld is, biedt SmartMed de patiënt de mogelijkheid om alle beschikbaar medicatie informatie ook op elk informatiemedium te ontsluiten, ongeacht tijd of plaats. SmartMed staat er borg voor dat patiënten anno 2020 hun AMO altijd en overal op ultra beveiligde wijze kunnen inzien.
