De certificering laat zien dat SmartMed voldoet aan alle eisen rondom deze beveiliging. Het NEN 7510-certificaat erkent dat SmartMed alle medische gegevens zorgvuldig beschermt. Voor beide certificaten wordt er door middel van een audit gekeken naar de effectiviteit van het managementsysteem en of het voldoet aan de toepassing van de wet, regelgeving en de contractuele eisen. **Informatiebeveiliging bij SmartMed** Met het behalen van deze certificaten kan SmartMed aantonen dat er alles aan gedaan wordt om een zo veilig mogelijke werkomgeving te creëren rondom informatiebeheer. Zowel de proactieve houding van SmartMed als het functioneren van het Information Security Management System (ISMS) werden als zeer positief ervaren. Met alle ontwikkelingen in het medicatiedomein is de bescherming van de gegevens een hoge prioriteit. In de overdracht van data tussen zorgverleners en patiënten zijn de ontwikkelde standaarden op een zorgvuldige manier gebruikt. SmartMed is zeer tevreden met het behalen van de ISO 27001- en NEN 7510-certificaten.
