Jack has a university background in computer science and has held various positions within Philips Healthcare. He started in the field of medical diagnostic workstations (radiology and cardiology) and then worked on a platform for re-use of software components within Philips. In recent years, Jack has led a multidisciplinary development team that provides product development in the field of minimally invasive treatment of cancer.
Within SmartMed, Jack is Product Director Patient Solutions, responsible for innovation around patient solutions.
The focus of these solutions will be on the following issues:
- Anytime, anywhere insight into personal medication data.
- Simple and secure communication with healthcare professionals.
- Active participation of patients in managing their own health towards preventive medicine.
- Ensuring closed-loop medication management by means of wearables or other (medical) smart devices.
- Offering patient-specific solutions so that personalisation and predictive medicine can be shaped.
