George (pronounced Sjors) will take up the position of Technical Product Owner at SmartMed.
He has a background in Communication Systems/ Digital Communication. In his last position, George worked as Product Owner and Team Leader of technical application management at BVGO-ICT.
Before that, he worked for more than 8 years as a technical application manager at the Deventer Ziekenhuis (hospital). Here, he acquired a broad knowledge of ICT within the healthcare sector. From a technical perspective, he was involved in the implementation of a patient portal and the migration to a new EPD.
With his ICT background and broad experience in healthcare, George will support the service team as DevOps Engineer in addition to his role as Technical Product Owner for the integration team. SmartMed is pleased with this step in the professionalisation of its services.
