SmartMed is certified and trained in mapping data to the OMOP CDM model including installing the analytical tooling and can therefore join the EHDEN SME network (Small and Medium Enterprises). CEO SmartMed, Alfred Godeke: "We are happy and proud that as a certified SME we can contribute to research to improve healthcare".
With its 'Health & Evidence' data network, the European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) aims to improve decisions and outcomes in healthcare. This is achieved, among other things, through a federative data network of standardised data sources for health research and the provision of analytical tooling on these OMOP CDM (Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model) data sources. Both contribute to the reduction of costs and lead time for conducting such research. The EHDEN initiative is known for, among other things, collecting the COVID-19 data for the EEA and supporting open health science and cooperation within the EU.
Data partners who join the data network and have datasets standardised to the OMOP CDM model will receive up to € 100,000 subsidy from EHDEN. In this way they can contribute to health research within EHDEN or (whether or not in cooperation with other data partners) also conduct their own research. In the month of September there will be a new call for data partners.
