SmartMed again achieves ISO 27001 and NEN 7510
In March 2021, SmartMed again achieved its annual ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certification.

With the achievement of ISO 27001 SmartMed shows again to comply with all requirements in the field of information security within the organization. NEN 7510 specifically focuses on information security in healthcare by managing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

What is the importance of these certifications?

The auditor concluded a high level of commitment from all employees to the importance of information security. The certification of the information security is essential for SmartMed's secure services. In addition to the current customers such as hospitals, clinics and community pharmacies, SmartMed plans to further expand in the coming year in different areas of healthcare. The SmartMed applications are developing into chain solutions in which the exchange of medication data plays an increasingly prominent role. Alfred Godeke, CEO and co-founder of SmartMed: "As an organisation in the medication domain, we develop for hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, healthcare institutions and patients. Safety is central in the data transfer between healthcare providers and patients and should take place in a careful manner according to the standards developed for this purpose. We are pleased with the results of this audit so that we can demonstrably provide our customers with this requirement."
