The certification demonstrates that SmartMed complies with all the requirements surrounding this security. The NEN 7510 certificate recognises that SmartMed carefully protects all medical data. For both certificates, the effectiveness of the management system is examined by means of an audit and whether it complies with the application of laws, regulations and contractual requirements. **Information security at SmartMed** With the award of these certificates, SmartMed can demonstrate that it does everything in its power to create the safest possible working environment for information management. Both the proactive attitude of SmartMed and the functioning of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) were experienced as very positive. With all the developments in the medication domain, data protection is a high priority. In the transfer of data between healthcare providers and patients, the developed standards were used in a careful manner. SmartMed is very pleased with the achievement of the ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certificates.
